This Privacy Policy explains how Farmly ("Farmly," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information when you use the Farmly iOS application, visit farmlyapp.com, or contact us about the Service. It also explains the choices and rights available to you.
Farmly is a dating service for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Farmly account. By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide, information created through your use of Farmly, and limited technical information needed to operate and protect the Service.
Account Registration Information
- Username. You create a username that identifies you on Farmly and is displayed as part of your profile.
- Email address. We require you to provide an email address. Depending on Farmly's current configuration and the feature you use, we may ask or require you to verify it. We use your email address for account verification, password recovery, customer support communications, and notifications that a customer support reply is available. We do not use it for marketing or promotional emails.
- Password. You create a password that is processed to authenticate your account and help protect it from unauthorized access.
- Date of birth. We collect your date of birth to calculate your age and determine whether your declared age meets Farmly's minimum age requirement. Your date of birth is not displayed to other users, although your calculated age may appear on your profile.
- Gender. Because Farmly is a dating service, we ask you to select your gender to provide profile, discovery, and dating-related features.
Profile Information
You may provide information for your Farmly profile, including photos, your location, the type of person or relationship you are looking for, a self-introduction, an ideal-match description, hobbies, height, relationship status, body type, diet, smoking and drinking preferences, religion, information about children and pets, languages, employment, and similar profile details.
Some profile information may be sensitive under applicable law. You choose whether to provide optional profile information and may update or remove it in the app. Information placed on your profile may be visible to other Farmly users as described in Section 4.
Location Information
Farmly uses location information to identify your city, state or province, and country and to support location-based profile discovery and dating features.
- If you allow location access, the app receives latitude and longitude coordinates supplied by your device. Their precision depends on your iOS Location Services setting and may be precise or approximate.
- Farmly sends those coordinates to BigDataCloud to convert them into city, state or province, and country information. Farmly currently stores both the returned place information and the coordinates associated with your profile.
- If you decline location access, you can manually select your city, state or province, and country.
- You can revoke Farmly's access to Location Services in iOS Settings. Revoking access does not automatically remove location information already saved to your profile. You can update your selected location in Farmly or delete your account.
Content You Create
We collect content that you create or upload to Farmly, including:
- Dislike Posts and your choices on shared Dislike Topics;
- Country Life posts, photos, captions, tags, comments, and likes;
- profile photos, self-introductions, ideal-match descriptions, and other profile content;
- messages sent to other users; and
- reports, feedback, and other information submitted to Farmly support.
Please do not include sensitive personal information or personal information about another person in public posts, comments, or Dislike Posts unless you have a lawful reason and any required permission to do so.
Interactions and Activity
We collect information about how you use Farmly's social and dating features, such as profiles and content you like, users who like you, Dislike Topic choices, shared dislikes, comments, conversations, profile and discovery preferences, account settings, reports, and subscription status. We use this information to provide the features you request, organize content, personalize what you see, and maintain the safety and integrity of the Service.
Customer Support and Reports
If you contact Customer Support or report another user, we collect the information you submit, related correspondence, the account and content involved, and information reasonably necessary to investigate and respond. We may ask for additional information when necessary to confirm account ownership, investigate a report, or protect users.
Device and Service Information
When you use Farmly, our systems and the service providers that operate the Service may receive limited technical information such as your IP address, device type, operating system and app version, language and time zone, push notification token, server and security logs, and crash or performance information. We use this information to provide network connections, deliver notifications you request, troubleshoot problems, prevent fraud and abuse, protect accounts, and maintain the performance and security of the Service.
Subscription and Purchase Information
Farmly Gold is sold exclusively through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment and controls the payment information you provide to Apple. Farmly does not receive or store your full payment card number or bank account details.
Farmly may receive limited purchase and subscription information from Apple, such as the product purchased, transaction or receipt information, subscription status, renewal or expiration status, and information needed to verify or restore a purchase. We use this information to activate and manage Farmly Gold, provide customer support, prevent fraud, and maintain transaction records.
Website Information
When you visit farmlyapp.com, the systems used to deliver and secure the website may process basic request information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, and security logs. Farmly does not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking technologies. Strictly necessary technologies may be used to operate and protect the website.
How We Use Personal Information
Farmly uses personal information to:
- create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account;
- display your profile and user-generated content according to the Service's features and your available settings;
- provide discovery, dating, messaging, likes, comments, Country Life, Dislikes, and Farmly Gold features;
- show relevant profiles and content based on your profile information, general location, preferences, and activity within Farmly;
- calculate your age and enforce the minimum age requirement;
- organize Dislike Posts into Topics and perform automated content-safety checks as described in Section 6;
- process, verify, and restore Apple In-App Purchases;
- respond to support requests, investigate reports, and enforce our Terms;
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical problems;
- maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and functionality of the Service; and
- comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect the rights, safety, and property of Farmly, our users, and others.
Farmly does not use your information for third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or marketing partnerships.
Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires us to identify a legal basis, Farmly relies on the following bases:
To create and manage your account and provide the dating, profile, discovery, content, messaging, support, and subscription features you request.
For optional permissions or processing that requires consent, including access to iOS Location Services. You can withdraw device permission through iOS Settings.
To secure and maintain Farmly, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate reports, provide support, understand technical performance, and improve the Service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
To comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, maintain required records, resolve disputes, and protect users, Farmly, and others.
If applicable law treats information you choose to provide, such as dating preferences or religious beliefs, as sensitive or special-category data, we process it only as permitted by applicable law. You can remove optional profile information or contact us to exercise available rights.
Information Visible to Other Users
Farmly is a social dating service. Information you place on your profile, including your username, calculated age, gender, general location, photos, introduction, dating preferences, hobbies, lifestyle details, Dislikes, and Country Life content, may be visible to other Farmly users through profile, discovery, content, and interaction features.
Dislike Posts may appear under a shared Topic with information that identifies the post as yours within Farmly. Country Life posts, photos, tags, likes, and comments may also be visible to other users. Messages are delivered to the users you choose to contact. Other users may save or share information they can view, and Farmly cannot control actions they take outside the Service. Use care when deciding what to publish or send.
Farmly does not display your email address, password, full date of birth, or precise location to other users.
Automated Processing, Topic Grouping, and Content Safety
Account Registration and AI Processing
By creating a Farmly account, you acknowledge and agree that Farmly uses third-party artificial intelligence services as described in this Privacy Policy.
AI processing is required only when you submit a new Dislike Post containing text written by you. By submitting a new Dislike Post, you authorize Farmly to send the text of that post and relevant Topic information to OpenAI for the processing described below. If you do not want the text of a Dislike Post to be processed by OpenAI, do not submit a new Dislike Post. You may continue to use Farmly features that do not require this processing.
OpenAI processing is not triggered when you select I dislike this tooon an existing Topic, like another user's Dislike Post, or comment on existing content.
Topic Grouping and Text-Safety Analysis
When you submit a new Dislike Post, Farmly sends its text and, where relevant, existing or proposed Topic titles to OpenAI. OpenAI-assisted processing is used to:
- generate or refine a concise title or description for a Topic;
- identify the same or substantially similar Topics, including whether the post should be grouped with an existing Topic; and
- return text-safety signals that Farmly uses to help detect potentially unsafe or prohibited text.
Automated safety checks may prevent a post from being published, mark it for review, or lead to later human review. Topic processing does not alter the original text of your Dislike Post.
Information Sent for AI Processing
The user information sent for AI processing is limited to the text of your Dislike Post. To identify similar Topics, Farmly may also send relevant existing or proposed Topic titles. Topic titles are organizational content and do not include direct account identifiers.
Farmly does not send your name, email address, profile photos, location, private messages, account ID, or other direct account identifiers to OpenAI as part of this processing. Please do not include sensitive personal information or information about another person in a Dislike Post.
OpenAI
Farmlyuses OpenAI's application programming interface for Topic generation, similar-Topic identification, and text-safety analysis. Farmly does not use this processing to evaluate your profile, recommend potential matches, determine whether you are eligible to use Farmly, or make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.
Farmlyhas not opted in to sharing API content with OpenAI for training or improving OpenAI's general-purpose models. Farmlydoes not rely on OpenAI's optional stored-completion feature to retrieve these results later. OpenAI's processing and retention remain subject to its applicable API data controls.
OpenAI may nevertheless retain API inputs, outputs, and related metadata in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, unless longer retention is required by law or is reasonably necessary to protect OpenAI's services or third parties from harm.
Automated Image-Safety Analysis
Farmly uses Amazon Web Services Rekognition to analyze images intended for public display, including profile and Country Life images, for potentially unsafe or prohibited visual content. The image is sent to AWS for this safety check. The result may prevent publication or trigger review.
Your Submission and Automated Results
Submitting a new Dislike Post initiates the OpenAI processing described above. Other Dislikes interactions identified above do not initiate this processing.
AI-generated Topic assignments, titles, and safety signals may not always be accurate. Farmly may review, correct, merge, separate, rename, approve, or restrict content when necessary.
If you believe your post has been placed in the wrong Topic, contact us through Help & feedback in Settings.
Advertising Tracking and Marketing
Farmly does not display third-party advertising. Farmly does not track your activity across apps or websites owned by other companies, does not share information with data brokers, and does not share information with third parties for targeted advertising or advertising measurement. Farmly has no third-party marketing partnerships and does not use your email address for marketing or promotional messages.
Service providers may process limited information solely to operate, secure, and support Farmly. This operational processing is not used for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Notifications and Communications
Farmly may send account-related communications, such as email verification, password recovery, customer support replies, security notices, and important Service notices. If you enable push notifications, Farmly may send notifications about account and in-app activity. You can manage push notifications in iOS Settings and manage available notification preferences within Farmly.
Managing and Deleting Your Content
You can manage Dislike Posts and Country Life posts in My content on the Me page. Depending on the content type, you can edit or delete content there.
- Deleting a Country Life post removes the post, its associated photos, comments on that post, and related post interactions from the Service. Independent private-message conversations are not deleted by deleting a Country Life post.
- Deleting a Dislike Post removes it from normal user-facing display. Farmly currently retains a restricted backend record of the post, including its text and its association with the relevant account and Topic, where needed for report evidence, content-safety investigations, fraud or abuse prevention, dispute resolution, security, or legal compliance. Access is limited to authorized purposes, and the record is deleted when it is no longer required for those purposes.
A Topic or Topic title generated from a Dislike Post may remain after the post is deleted, including where the deleted post was its original contribution. Farmly may remove or revise an orphaned Topic during cleanup or review. Do not include personal information in a Dislike Post; contact us if a retained Topic title contains personal information that should be reviewed.
Deleting individual content does not delete your Farmly account.
Account Deletion and Data Retention
Deleting Your Account
You can request permanent account deletion directly in the Farmly app:
- Go to the Me page.
- Tap Settings in the upper-right corner.
- Select Account.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom of the Account page.
- Follow the prompts to confirm deletion.
If you contact Customer Support about deleting your account, we will provide instructions for using the in-app account deletion process. Customer Support cannot directly delete your account on your behalf.
When you confirm account deletion, Farmly immediately disables your account, hides your profile, revokes active sessions, and releases your email address for a new registration. Your remaining profile and account data are scheduled for permanent cleanup after 30 days. The deletion cannot be reversed during this period. This deletion is subject only to the limited retention described below.
The deletion process covers your email address and authentication credentials, profile, photos, Country Life posts and their associated comments and interactions, Dislike Posts, comments, likes, messages stored as part of your account, account preferences, and saved location information. A shared or generated Topic title may remain until it is removed through Topic cleanup or review, but it will no longer be linked to an active profile after account deletion.
After deletion, your previous email address and password no longer provide access to the deleted account. A later sign-in attempt using those credentials may display the same generic Incorrect email or password message used for invalid credentials. You may use the email address from a voluntarily deleted account to register a new Farmly account immediately. The new account is separate and does not restore the deleted profile, content, messages, interactions, preferences, or other account data.
Deleting your Farmly account does not automatically cancel an active Farmly Gold subscription billed by Apple. You must manage or cancel the subscription through your Apple Account or App Store subscription settings.
Limited Retention After Deletion
Farmly may retain limited information after account deletion where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, maintain transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our Terms, or protect the safety and security of the Service. Any retained information will be limited to what is necessary for those purposes and deleted when it is no longer required.
Other Retention Periods
While your account is active, Farmlygenerally retains account information, profile information, content, messages, interactions, preferences, coordinates and place information, and subscription status for as long as needed to provide the Service. Deleted Dislike Posts may be retained in restricted backend records for the purposes described in Section 9. Account access is disabled immediately, and permanent cleanup follows the period described above, subject to limited retention. OpenAI's separate retention for API abuse-monitoring logs is described in Section 6.

Legal Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, portability, restriction of or objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent, or an appeal of a denied privacy request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection or privacy regulator.

Farmly will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Farmly does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We therefore do not offer an opt-out for practices we do not perform.
Children and Age Restrictions
Farmly is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. A person under 18 may not register for or use Farmly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Users can report an account they believe belongs to a person under 18. Farmly may review the report and request information reasonably necessary to assess the account. If Farmly reasonably determines that a user is under 18, Farmly will terminate the account and delete associated personal information, subject to limited retention where necessary to comply with law, protect users, prevent fraud or repeat registration, resolve disputes, or maintain the safety and security of the Service.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to Farmly, contact support@farmlyapp.com.
Security
Farmly uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and Farmly cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
International Data Processing
Farmly and its service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries where they operate. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your country. Where required, Farmly uses appropriate contractual or other safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
External Services and Links
Farmly may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. Review the privacy policy of any third-party service before providing personal information to it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Farmly's features, data practices, service providers, or legal obligations change. We will update the Last updated date and provide additional notice where required by law or where a change materially affects your privacy rights. Your continued use of Farmly after an updated policy takes effect is subject to applicable law.
